Last few days

Tuesday:
We travelled to our new campsite. It was nice. Then we went to Louisbourg, (http://www.louisbourg.ca/fort), for a few hours. We went on a bus to Louisbourg from the visitor centre.

Wednesday:
We went back to Louisbourg again. Louisbourg was a town which was made a very long time ago. Aunty Diane was taught a dance by a lady there. There was a public punishment and a man got put in the iron collar, (the iron collar was a punishment for people who were accused of doing something wrong), for stealing a bottle of wine. A man tried to get me to join the army, but I wasn't tall enough yet, so Daddy said he would take me back in a few years, and then he could use my room for other things.

Thursday:
Today we drove to our new campsite. It was a long way and took most of the day. When we got there the weather was very lovely, (if you're a duck or a fish), (stop reading Thursday now, this was all we did).

Friday:
We went to see a tidal bore, (http://www.tidalbore.info/canada/shubenacadie.html), then we went to Mastodon Ridge, (http://www.mastodonridge.com/home/). We went to a museum which told us things that had happened through the ages, (there were speakers and lights and some of it sounded like it was actually happening). Then we went to the wildlife park, (http://wildlifepark.gov.ns.ca/), where we saw a beaver and some bears!!
At night we had a fire and toasted marshmallows, and Uncle Ian played guitar and sang songs again.

Saturday:
We got up, and had breakfast in the awning while Mum and Dad packed. We went Murphy's on the Water, (restaurant). Dad and Grandma had dropped the campervan off and were sheltering under a porch at the restaurant when we got there. After lunch we watched a trampolining show and a martial arts show, (http://www.buskers.ca/). We went to the airport. Dad got the shuttle bus because there wasn't enough room in Uncle Ians truck. The bus broke down half way and Dad had to get a taxi instead!! We flew home.

In the Mountains

Friday:
Got up and had breakfast, packed up and left the campsite. We went to the Celtic Music place and heard some great music. Then we went to the distillery and saw how whisky is made. Then we went to our new campsite, and found a playground. We had dinner and went to bed.

Saturday:
Today we went whale watching. We went on a boat and saw some pilot whales. They were great! Then we went back to the campsite, had some dinner and went to bed.

Sunday:
We went and played mini-golf. Daddy won but I did really well. In the afternoon we went to the beach. In the sea there was basking shark. It came really near to the beach. At first we thought it was a pilot whale, but a man near us said that it was a basking shark. Later we went to a ceilidh. The music was played by a man and a woman who were married. Then we went back to the campsite. We had a campfire, listened to Uncle Ian's music and toasted marshmallows.

Monday:
We got up and had breakfast. Me and Joe got taken to the beach by Grandma. We didn't see any basking sharks today. Then we went to our new campsite. I travelled with a hitchhiker in Uncle Ians truck. We went to Baddeck and had lunch. Then me, Joe, Uncle Ian and Dad went to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. Me and Joe saw HD4, which is a boat looks like an airplane and gets lifted up above the water. I got to do an experiment where they put a tissue on fire in a bottle and I put an egg on top. The egg disappeared into the bottle. We went back to the campsite and me and Joe went to the swimming pool. It was quite warm when we first tried it out, but then it was freezing cold. Then we had a nice warm shower, some dinner, and went to bed.

Halifax and Cape Breton Camping

(Tim: No updates for a few days as we have been without internet access. Now at a campsite and using their wireless network.)

Monday:
We got up early, had breakfast, me, Uncle Ian and Joe had a run round the block, got packed up for leaving and then went on the ferry to Nova Scotia. Travelled in the car to Halifax, stopped at the B&B, (Dad got lost on the way as he wasn't listening to the car navigator properly). Dropped our bags off and went down town to drop the car off. Went for a walk, got some lunch, and then went on Theodore Too. It's a boat that has adventures in Halifax Harbour. Then we went back to the B&B and went to bed.

Tuesday:
In the guide book for Halifax we found a place called the Discovery Centre. It was so near us that we got to go. There were lots of great scientific playthings to do. There was a bubble room which me and Joe really enjoyed. We really enjoyed a machine where you pulled a string and it makes a bubble around you.
After a little while we went out to get some lunch. After that we went to the Citadel. There were lots of Scottish soldiers, (they were there because it was like a place where Scottish soldiers had helped Canada hundreds of years ago).
Then we went to the Natural History Museum and we saw lots of prehistoric animals and current day animals.
Then we went home and went to bed.

Wednesday:
We got picked up from the B&B and went to a place where we got the motorhome and we drove off. We went to the shops and bought some stuff and ate some dinner in the motorhome. Then we went to the campsite, Aunty Diane and Uncle Ian were already there. We had some dinner and went to bed. I'm sleeping above the drivers seat in a bunk bed with no bottom. Joe is sleeping on the table, (it turns into a bed, he's not actually sleeping on a table!!).

Thursday:
Today we got up and had to turn Joe's bed back into a table. We played in the playground and then we went for a drive and discovered a Candy Shop. Mum said that we could go back there if we were good, (we were good enough, you'll find out about the Candy Shop later).
We had a nice lunch and then we went and played in another playground. Then we had a walk and played in the playground again. Then we went to the Candy Shop. Me and Joe bought ourselves three packets of sweeties each. Then we went back to the campsite, Dad put our beds together and then I wrote this blog. I'm off to bed now. Good night!!

Last Day in PEI

Today it was our last day at PEI. First we had breakfast and a drink. The weather was really bad with lots of rain. We went to the Co-op shop where me and Joe were exceedingly naughty and managed to drive Daddy mad. After lunch we went to Uncle Ian's and Auntie Diane's friends, where there were loads of children. Me and Joe played with Dawson. We were going to go swimming but there was a birthday party going on which we thought would be fun. We thought we weren't going to be long there but me and Joe had so much fun we stayed until teatime! We had noodles and rice (with stir fry - Ed :)) for tea which we had seconds of! Then we went to bed.

Another Swimming Day

Today we got up and went outside and played some games. We played "How many minutes left Ref" and "What's the time Mr Wolf". Then we went inside and played Uno. It went all windy and rainy and we decided to go to an indoor swimming pool, but disaster struck! The swimming pool was closed until 4pm so we went to the Atlantic Superstore which is a supermarket and I bought a racing car which was called Snake Escape. Then we went to Tim Horton's where you can get cookies and coffee. Me and Joe had a cookie and Daddy, Mummy, Uncle Ian, Auntie Diane and Grandma had tea and coffee. Then it was nearly time to go the swimming pool. We quickly got to the car because it was still raining heavily. We went to the swimming pool, but Mummy and Auntie Diane went back home to cook the dinner. We had a really good time and it was so good that as soon as we got home we had to tell Mummy and Auntie Diane. Mummy cooked fantastic peppers which tasted really nice. Then we had a bath and went to bed.....

.....but we didn't know that we were going to listen to music. Aunty Diane and Uncle Ian did the music. And guess what, we performed in a band!! Aunty Diane and Uncle Ian did really good in the music and Joe got to listen to his favourite song, "Old Macdonald had a farm".

Takeaway Day

We got up, had some breakfast, and then went out.

We went to Mike and Pat's house. They are friends of Uncle Ian and Aunty Diane. We took some trees out which they didn't want anymore and planted them at Uncle Ian and Aunty Diane's house.

After lunch we went to the beach. We captured some hermit crabs and showed them to Joe, Mummy and Grandma. There were people jumping off of the old harbour wall. They made a big splash when they hit the water.

We went to the takeaway and bought some curry.

We ate the food and went to bed.
